Telugu
film Eega and its Tamil version Naan Ee directed by hotshot
director S S Rajamouli has completed 50 days run on 24th August,
last Friday. Eega has turned out to be the biggest blockbuster
in the Telugu film industry enhancng the brand status of
Rajamouli who had never tasted failure so far in his ten film
career.
It has also strengthened Kiccha Sudeep’s hold on the Telugu
audience now and already many fan associations for the actor has
started in the neighboring Andhra Pradesh.But what is more
interesting is that Rajamouli and Sudeep have scored a big
success in Tamilnadu too. Naan Ee, the Tamil original version of
Eega has now turned out to be a big block buster in Tamil Nadu
and abroad.
PVP Cinema, the happening banner in South
India, released the Tamil version Naan Ee with a strategic
publicity and their plan has paid off well. Naan Ee turned out
to be the biggest hit among Telugu-based films in Tamilnadu and
collected a massive gross of 24.6 crores till date.
If you deduct taxes, commissions and other expenses, the
producer’s share came out to be around 9 crores. PVP Cinema is
happy not only with the success but also with brand image the
movie has fetched.Kiccha Sudeep went to Chennai to participate
in the promotional activities of the film and has now become the
most sought out actor for the Tamil film industry.
Naan Ee has completed 50 days in 74 theaters. The exhibitors
have taken out the film on Saturday in 5 theaters because of new
releases. But duly added Naan Ee in the same screens from Monday
onwards as Naan Ee is still garnering some share to the
exhibitor. |
